The GCOS orchestra rehearses for around six weeks ahead of each concert, bringing together experienced players to support the Society's performances. It accompanies the choir and performs a wide range of orchestral repertoire, from well-known classics to more ambitious large-scale works.
Rehearsals are focused but enjoyable, with an emphasis on musicality, collaboration and achieving a high standard of performance within a relatively short rehearsal period.

Rehearsals
Orchestra rehearsals are usually held at Elizabeth College, unless otherwise indicated for a particular project.
Rehearsal schedules are confirmed in advance of each concert period, and players are expected to attend regularly in order to ensure a cohesive and well-prepared performance.
