GCOS Choir

A welcoming choir performing major choral works for over 75 years

GCOS Choir

The GCOS choir brings together singers from across Guernsey who share a love of choral music and live performance.

The choir performs a varied repertoire ranging from large-scale sacred works and classical masterworks to lighter seasonal concerts and contemporary pieces. Recent programmes have included works by Mozart, Verdi, Handel, Brahms, Haydn and Karl Jenkins.

Rehearsals are friendly, welcoming and focused, with experienced and new members singing alongside one another in preparation for concerts at St James and other venues.

New singers are always welcome.

Rehearsals & Membership

Choir rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings from 7:30pm to 9:15pm at The Ladies' College during concert periods. Members are encouraged to attend rehearsals regularly, particularly orchestral rehearsals and dress rehearsals leading up to performances.

No formal audition is required for new singers. Whether you are new to choral singing, experienced or returning to music, GCOS offers a welcoming and supportive musical environment.
